This park is located on the InterCoastal Waterway, where you go to take the pleasant cruises from downtown. It serves as a memorial for veterans of foreign wars.
Park amenities include a huge gazebo, meeting rooms, restrooms, barbecue grills, benches, bicycle rack, memorials to the the veterans, and a pirate ship themed playgrounds for the kids.
There is a huge green area where the city can hold events like the art fair that was being held during my visit. The real highlight of the park is the gorgeous view of the intracoastal waterway.
It’s such a relaxing spot to sit and watch the bridge open and close as the boat charters cruise along the waterway. Welcome aboard your next luxury yachting adventure!
